Animation and presentation of a product

The last months I've been a bit busy doing some projects for the master degree I am studying.

One of those projects consisted in made a video presentation of a product. The product I chose is the Steam Controller, a PC controller made by Valve.

I made animations and renders using Autodesk 3ds Max and Vray. Then, I did the video montage with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.

This is the final result:

As I mentioned before, from a model that I downloaded from the internet. I had to assign materials to the different pieces. Since most of the pieces were plastic, I only modified the glossiness, reflection and refraction parameters to achieve the desired effect.

Then I made an studio scenario using a plane as a background and some lights. And by animating the controller and different cameras I obtained some sequences that later I used in premiere.

In Adobe After Effects I did some text and effects animations that accompanied the video.

Finally, i did the montage in Premiere using the animations I did in 3ds max and some videos I took from YouTube. One of them is the official presentation video made by Valve.

Although it is not a completely professional video, I am glad with the result and with everything I have learned in this module.
